Carmon, along with his twin brother Raistlin, were born on June 17, 326. Caramon is a caring person and loves his twin deeply, he always put up with Raistlin's mean remarks and snarls. He also waited on him whenever he needed something. When they were younger he would stay awake when Raistlin would have nightmares and make little shadow bunnies to make him feel better. Then he would stay awake all night making sure Raistlin was alright.
Caramon was fun a loving in everything he did. As a child he had many friends and played countless games with them. He was well liked by almost everyone in Solace. His father was a lumber jack who wasn't at home often. His mother, sadly was very sick. She went into these trances and did and said weird things. So the twins were pretty much on they're own except for when they're older sister, Kitiara was around. She made sure they were doing alright and Raistlin was healthy. Caramon grew up with Sturm Brightblade. After his parents died he met Tanis, Flint, and Tas. Flint took him, Sturm and Raistlin "under his wing" and watched out for them. They had many adventures together.
Caramon fell in love Tika but his first commitment was to Raistlin. Tika didn't like this much as I know I wouldn't but she lived with it as best she could. Only did Caramon finally see how Raistlin was did he put Tika first. He never forgot about Raistlin but he was no longer his priority. He had three sons, Tanin (named after Tanis), Sturm (named after Sturm Brightblade), and Palin (named after the god Paladine). He also had two little girls, Dezra and Laura. Caramon's favorite child was always Palin because he reminded Caramon of Raistlin a great deal.
After War of the Lance and Legends
Twenty-eight years old and 50 pounds overweight at the beginning of the Legends series, Caramon is in terrible physical condition and an alcoholic. He is a wreck. Caramon's testing is the most demanding of all the characters, since it is physical, mental, and spiritual. The trials Caramon undergoes were meant to teach him that he must live his own life.
During the War of the Lance, Caramon became a hero and soon after he married Tika and should have lived happily ever after. Unfortunately, once the war had ended and life for people was returning to normal when Solace was fixed up, no one needed Caramon. Even Tika had developed her own life, managing the Inn of the Last Home. Caramon had always Raitlin to take care of and need him. He missed his brother deeply in this time and became a drunkard to try to drown his sorrow.
Caramon had so little self-esteem that he doesn't really know how to love anyone. Caramon's test involved three goals: he freed himself of his addiction to dwarven spirits (with the help of Tasslehoff) and got himself in physical shape once again (when he was a slave in the time right before the Cataclysm; he learned that he is intelligent, a leader, and has ideas that are of value and worth; and he accepted the fact that his twin is truly evil, that Raistlin chose to be evil. He also learned that he cannot change him.
