Goldmoon was the Chieftain's Daughter of the Que-Shu tribe. She was one of the most wise of the Companions and was a cleric of Mishakal, the Goddess of Healing, and Knowledge. Goldmoon fell in love with Riverwind the first time she met him. Riverwind wanted her hand in marriage but her father said he was not worthy. He told him the only way he could have her hand was if he brought back something of the old gods (the ones Riverwinds family believed in), knowling fully well that this could not be achieved. Unsuspectingly, Riverwind came back with the Staff of Mishakal, his evidence of an artifact from the true gods. But the tribe renounced him as a fraud and stoned him, but Goldmoon ran to shield his body and the staff transported them away.
Goldmoon is a caring individual and very proud. She is very strong and devoted to Mishakal. In the beginning of the War her people were killed off including her father. Her home was destroyed and there was very little hope that many of her people had survived the draconian raid. At the end of the War of The Lance, she and Riverwind were wed.
